Optimus Industries, a privately held manufacturing and engineering company headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has served the power and process industries’ needs since 1986. As Optimus has grown to the largest domestic fabricator of heat recovery products, the goal has always been to provide quality workmanship at competitive prices. The company is divided into four operating groups:

• Chanute Manufacturing Company is the largest domestic contract fabricator of heat recovery products, including heat recovery steam generators (HRSG’s), packaged industrial boilers, gas coolers and related waste heat recovery boilers. The Chanute facility’s history dates back to 1965 when it was formed by Alcorn Combustion to manufacture direct fired heaters. Throughout the 60’s and 70’s, Chanute was the premier fired heater manufacturer in the United States. In 1978 the facility was purchased by Econotherm Energy Systems and by 1980 was producing some of the industry’s first heat recovery steam generators (HRSG’s) for the growing cogeneration market.
  
  
• Chanute Tubular Services group specializes in the supply of engineered replacement superheaters, reheaters and economizer elements, headers and small membrane panels.
  
  
• CFT, Inc. is a joint venture company producing spiral wound, high frequency welded fintubes.
  
  
• Optimus Engineered Products Group is a designer of custom waste heat watertube and firetube boilers, superheaters and economizers and related heat recovery components.
