Mechanical Engineer

Optimus/Chanute has an opening for an entry-level Mechanical/Structural Engineer located in Tulsa.

The qualified candidate must be a degreed Engineer skilled in the use of Computer Aided Engineering software to aid in the design of heat exchanger structural components at elevated temperatures. Typical duties include designing rectangular and/or cylindrical pressure vessels that comply with the AISC, AWS, and ASME codes and specifications. Some knowledge of the typical materials of construction used in heat exchanger design is preferred.

Ability to model heat exchanger casing in some or all of the following CAE software is a plus: STAAD, RISA 3D, Solidworks, AutoCAD, COSMOS.

Project Manager

Chanute Manufacturing Company has an immediate opening for a Project Manager at its Chanute, Kansas location.

The qualified candidate must be a degreed Engineer or have equivalent experience managing engineered steel fabrication projects. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and grammar skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work with customers and co-workers in a professional and proficient manner.

Our Project Managers must have good organizational and multi-tasking skills, and the ability to proficiently use computer software programs Excel, Word, and Microsoft Projects.
